Our story
This time, in our own neighbourhood.
It took until 2026 for BO&MIE to reach the 11th district. A neighbourhood that means something to us: Jean-François, co-founder of BO&MIE, lives there when he is in Paris — and his children had been asking him for years when a bakery would finally open near home.
The opportunity came at 47 rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine, a former cosmetics shop spread over two floors: around a hundred square metres of shop, another fifty in the basement. A far more compact format than Louvre-Rivoli or Montmartre, where every square metre counts — and that is the point, not a constraint we put up with. Light colours, carefully considered lighting, small round tables: after the large volumes, a BO&MIE designed first for the people who live and work in the neighbourhood.

What you’ll find at Bastille
The full BO&MIE range, from the morning loaf to afternoon tea: breads, viennoiseries, pâtisserie, cookies, savoury creations and speciality coffee. Here the coffee matters as much as the rest — it is often what people come in for, between two meetings.
Production
The basement houses the bakery’s production space. As in our other addresses, part of the range is finished and baked here — proving and baking the viennoiseries, cookies, the day’s finishing touches. The rest comes from the BO&MIE Lab.

Taking your time at Bastille
Around twenty seats inside, ten more on the terrace, Wi-Fi and power sockets: breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or simply a coffee. From the terrace, the colonne de Juillet appears at the end of the street and the Opéra Bastille is a few steps away. Bastille was designed to become a regulars' address.

Your bakery and pâtisserie in Bastille
At 47 rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine, BO&MIE sits a short walk from place de la Bastille and its colonne de Juillet, at the entrance to the 11th district. The Opéra Bastille is close by, and rue de la Roquette and the marché d’Aligre are both a few minutes away on foot.
The Faubourg Saint-Antoine is changing too. After several years marked by the closure of long-standing shops, new addresses, restaurants and coffee shops are gradually bringing the street back to life — and BO&MIE is glad to be part of that. Residents, offices and passers-by give the neighbourhood a very Parisian rhythm all day long.
