Our story
Paris → Barcelona.
Going international was part of the dream from Turbigo onwards, back in 2017. We simply thought it would take longer.
In 2021, Bertrand, a friend living in Barcelona, told us he wanted to open a bakery. We looked at several units before finding a very small one just a few metres from the Sagrada Família. With a location like that, the decision made itself.
In December 2021, when BO&MIE still had only three bakeries in France, Barcelona became our fourth — and the first outside the country. The former sandwich shop barely covered twenty-five square metres; in the summer of 2026 we opened up the back to fit around twenty seats.

Barcelona · 2022
Then came the New York Roll.
The December 2021 opening went well, but gradually. Then, in 2022, the pistachio New York Roll appeared in the window. It took off on social media and footfall changed almost overnight.
It has been one of BO&MIE’s signature products in Spain ever since. It is also what this bakery proved: a creation born in Paris can go viral in another country.
Made here · every day
The essentials at Barcelona
The recipes are the Paris ones — croissants and pure-butter viennoiseries, pâtisserie, cookies, savoury creations and coffee — with the pistachio New York Roll as the house signature. We did not rebuild the concept for Spain, but the shop lives with its city: pan con tomate, focaccia and occasional creations for the Catalan festivals.
Production
Here, everything is made on site. Unlike our Paris addresses, which take part of their range from the Lab, Barcelona bakes all of its own bread, viennoiseries and pâtisserie in the bakehouse upstairs. Around twenty people work there today — Spanish, French, Argentinian, Italian: like the city, the team has become thoroughly international.

Taking your time in Barcelona
Breakfast, lunch, an afternoon break or simply a coffee before the visit: the extended room now seats around twenty. The bakery runs all year; spring and autumn are the loveliest seasons here, and in summer it is the cold drinks that take over.
Sagrada Família · Eixample · Barcelona
Your French bakery by the Sagrada Família
At 433 Carrer de Provença, in the Eixample, BO&MIE stands a few metres from the Sagrada Família. That is what keeps the bakery busy all year — but the address is not only a tourist one: people who live and work in the neighbourhood have made it their bakery too.
The recipes are the Paris ones, made here every day. The bakery opens at 8.30am and closes at 8.30pm, seven days a week.
