Louvre-Rivoli: BO&MIE opens the largest bakery in Paris
On 24 October 2020, BO&MIE opened its third address at 91 rue de Rivoli, opposite the Louvre. With more than 400 m² over three floors, Time Out presented it at the time as the largest bakery in Paris.

The shop opened to the public on Saturday 24 October 2020, at 91 rue de Rivoli, under the arcades, opposite the Louvre. It was then the house’s third address, three years after Turbigo. Two days earlier, Time Out Paris had announced it as the largest bakery in Paris.
Four hundred square metres, three floors
More than 400 m² in all, of which around 250 are given over to the shop floor and sales, with eighty seats. The rest is production space. The floor space was never an end in itself: it makes room for a long pastry counter, a bakehouse in full view and a mezzanine where people settle in — three things that don’t fit in a neighbourhood shop.
Two chefs to change scale
The opening came with reinforcements in the kitchen. Nicolas Wickart took over pastry; Damien Dedun, twice European bakery champion, the breads and viennoiseries. The press at the time named the vanilla flan, the cinnamon roll, the citrus tarts, the cookies and a puff pastry described as generous.
A phrase to put in context
“The largest bakery in Paris” is Time Out’s phrase, from 2020. It describes the state of things at the opening, not a permanent title. We repeat it as it stands, and dated.

- of shop floor and sales (Time Out)
- 3rd
- BO&MIE address at that date
The article already mentioned the viennoiseries, the pastries and the vanilla flan. Address, opening hours and directions are on the Louvre-Rivoli page.
