BO&MIE among the best bakeries in Paris, according to Vogue

Vogue France keeps a selection of the thirteen best bakeries in Paris, updated on 4 February 2025. BO&MIE is on it, alongside established addresses of the capital. It is a selection, not a ranking: the magazine names no winner.

Three pieces named

Vogue first dwells on the pain au chocolat, for its sharply drawn lamination and its praline heart. The magazine then singles out the croissant filled with raspberry compote, and the chocolate-glazed madeleines. Three pieces, three registers: lamination, fruit, the small format.

What the selection says, and what it doesn’t

Being on a selection is not winning a title, and we will not write it any other way. What these lists measure is consistency: the same piece, made the same way, found again year after year by people who taste a great deal.

The Vogue France selection brings together thirteen Parisian houses, from the oldest to the most recent, with no declared hierarchy between them. It is updated over the years rather than replayed every season: staying on it means still being found good, not just having got on it once.
