BO&MIE wins the Meilleur Bootstrappeur 2024 award

Seven years after the first bakery, recognition comes this time from the business world, not from the trade. The third edition of the Bootstrap Awards brings together more than three hundred and fifty company heads; thirty-five entrepreneurs are shortlisted, seven receive an award.
What “bootstrap” means
The word describes something simple and uncommon: growing without raising funds. No investor on the cap table, no funding round, no timetable imposed from outside. What is earned is reinvested — in the shops, the teams, production, international development.

The award that says something else
The house’s other distinctions speak of a creation — the Grand Prix de la Pâtisserie — or of a trade — the Ze Awards. This one speaks of a capital structure, which is rarely a matter of public pride.
It takes on a particular meaning in this story: BO&MIE was born after a first entrepreneurial venture, and has been built since 2017 with Magali Szekula around one idea — turning French artisan baking into a brand able to grow at scale without giving up its independence.
